Discovery Primary School holds 25th reunion

Many came to join in the celebration at Florida Lake Canoe Club.

On Sunday, March 5, Discovery Primary School had its 25th reunion at Florida Lake.

Classmates came from far and wide, including outside of South Africa, to celebrate with old friends and teachers and even their old principal.

Many of the attendees used to play at Florida Lake as children and now came back for a sense of reminiscence.

“The principal at the time, Mr Van Loggerenberg enjoyed his catch-up with the pupils as did a few of their teachers at the time, Mr Bateman, Mrs James, Miss Dicks (Now Mrs Bateman), and Mrs Harris while their children had a wonderful time enjoying jumping castle and water slide activities, while the parents enjoyed their reunion with old friends some of whom came from out of town to join the gathering!” stated Jennie Dallas from the Florida Lake Canoe Club.
