Fleurhof — The Le-Amogetswe Foundation continued their mission of making a difference in the community when they hosted their second feeding of the year at Fleurhof hostel on April 12.
The team of volunteers successfully distributed essential items to over 250 locals in need.
The generosity included serving warm bread and soup, sweet treats for the children, and donating 16 bags of clothes and a wheelchair.

According to one of the three founders, Andrè Constable, the foundation was created to address widespread shortcomings within Fleurhof communities.
“The foundation was born out of a shared vision to address the pressing challenges in Fleurhof, including high unemployment, limited skill development opportunities, safety concerns, and inadequate community infrastructure.
“Myself, Leefar Blennis and Thabang Makoga saw the untapped potential within their community and believed that, through unity and collaboration, they could create meaningful change.
“Rather than waiting for external solutions, they took it upon themselves to establish a foundation that would bridge the gap between potential and opportunity,” said Andre.
Le-Amogetswe, which means everyone is welcome in Sesotho, is more than just an organisation – it is a movement for change, empowerment, and community upliftment.

“We do these feeding schemes every second Saturday of the month because we feel that’s when everyone is low on money and other income. We usually collaborate with local businesses and residents for donations.
“We are a team of 23 volunteers targeting the Ward 70 areas.”
By working with businesses, government agencies, and community members, the foundation aims to create a self-sustaining ecosystem where individuals can gain skills, find employment, and contribute to a safer, stronger, and more connected community.
