Maddy Chesworth has officially been declared cancer-free following a comprehensive bone marrow check after her stem cell transplant in May.

After three years of intense treatment and unwavering determination, this news marks a monumental milestone in her journey to recovery.

Maddy’s mother Allessandra shared the joyous news, expressing her immense pride and relief.

“The genetic results have come in from Maddy’s bone marrow check and she’s officially cancer-free after three years.

Maddy will finally ring the bell. We cannot wait to celebrate this as it signifies the end of treatment; no cancer,” she says.

Throughout the past three years, Maddy faced a demanding regimen of treatments with remarkable strength. Her mother noted Maddy’s progress, saying she’s been doing so well with no meds and just living life since the last update after the transplant.

“This ongoing improvement has been a source of immense pride and joy for her family, friends and those close to her.

“The end of treatment is marked by the symbolic ringing of the bell – a tradition in many hospitals to celebrate the end of a patient’s cancer treatment.

For Maddy, this moment will signify the conclusion of her medical journey and a new beginning filled with hope and possibilities.”

Her mother shared the emotional significance of this moment and said, “We’re so proud of you, Maddy.”

According to Allessandra, Maddy has been clear for a while and has no signs of the genes that caused the relapse, but the bone marrow check was just the last confirmation after the stem cell transplant. Maddy’s mother further expressed that they are very happy as a family and they cannot wait for Maddy to ring the bell at the end of October.
