Fun in the sun with Florida MOTHs

Florida residents enjoyed a fun-filled day with the MOTHs of the Dardanelles Shellhole.

The Dardanelles Shellhole of the Memorable Order of the Tin Hats (MOTH) held a ‘Boshoed Braai’ on Saturday, August 24 to raise funds for their continuing projects in aid of military veterans.

Residents came out to support the historic MOTH Shellhole, enthusiastically taking part in the variety of activities available, including a raffle for an expensive bottle of whiskey, and a ‘grenade’ throwing competition that quickly descended into hilarious chaos as the children made short work of the grenades (water balloons).

According to Old Bill Robert Engelbrecht, the day, in addition to helping the MOTHs to continue with their serious work, was aimed at creating a fun environment for the whole family.

“We are all about community building,” he says. “This is the ideal opportunity for families to enjoy a wonderful day having a braai and socialising with each other.”
