Community champions revive park

Panorama Residents Association transformed their beloved Rooisering Park entrance with generous help from the community.

The Panorama@Work team has been tackling a small but impactful project to improve the Rooisering Park entrance in Rooisering Street.

The entrance had fallen into disrepair, but the team’s efforts made it possible to look as beautiful as it was before.

Over two days from August 10, the team sanded and chopped the wall bearing the park’s name, prepped and plastered it to replace missing chunks of cement and sanded down the entrance pole.

According to public relations officer Michael Steyn, the Panorama Residents Association (RA) raised funds with generous help from the community to make their beloved park look great again.

“The team returned to paint the wall and reattach the name, a process that required patience but yielded amazing results. The new-look entrance looks wonderful and shows how working together can make a huge impact.

“We also send our biggest gratitude to GC Squared, who generously provided two new sets of laser-cut letters and powder-coated them in white, reducing future maintenance needs. Their support is greatly appreciated,” Michael said.

For residents who would like to be a part of the great work the Panorama RA does and contribute to community improvement projects like this one, membership is just R250 per year.
