The Roodepoort Police Station is thrilled to reintroduce their sector managers to the community.
These police managers are responsible for managing, overseeing and combating crime in their sectors made up of various suburbs, and they also foster a relationship between the police and the public, promoting transparency and collaboration.
Some of their duties also include having a good relationship with neighbourhood watches and security companies, conducting monthly crime forum meetings with the public and conducting workshops and meetings with patrollers.
These managers advised that they should only be called when there are hijackings, robberies and murders in the community and when the Crime Stop and 10111 contact centre cannot be reached.
