#CaxtonCares Blanket Drive shares the warmth

Caxton Joburg West shows love and appreciation to the community.

While many South Africans geared up to celebrate Mandela Day by doing 67 minutes of good, the Roodepoort Record and Roodepoort Northsider concluded their #CaxtonCares Blanket Drive on July 17 to show appreciation to individuals or organisations that work hard to keep communities safe.

One of the organisations the editorial team from Caxton Joburg West donated to was the Toolbox Community Empowerment Hub situated in Ruimsig.

With a primary goal of empowering and uplifting the impoverished, homeless, women, and young people in destitute areas across the Northside, the Toolbox Hub is a community organisation that focuses on skills development and employment creation.

The hub keeps the community clean by hosting clean-up drives. The main donor of the blanket drive, FullFlame Life Church, joined the Caxton team to show those in need the highest level of support.

The hub urges individuals to keep donating to their local needy groups, which include old age homes, orphanages, retirement centres and groups that are doing great work in their communities.
