Limited services at Roodepoort police station during fumigation

The Roodepoort Police Station will resume normal operations tomorrow, once the fumigation of its administrative building is complete.

The main administrative building of the Roodepoort Police Station will be closed from 10:00 today, July 24 and will reopen again tomorrow.

According to communications officer Captain Yuanita Yorke, the building is closed today for fumigation purposes.

“During the fumigation process, our Mobile Client Service Centre will be deployed and is accessible from the entrance in Randskroon Street,” says Yorke, who adds that the affected departments include the financial offices, the firearms and second-hand goods offices, fingerprint department and detectives.

“Regular fumigation is undertaken to ensure the safety of our officers and staff, as well as that of the public.
“We will resume operations usual tomorrow morning. In the meanwhile, residents can access the mobile client service centre.”
