NPO celebrates 36 years of service

The organisation has been helping several child orphanages, old age and retirement centres, and disability centres in the community.

The Northridge Ladies Circle 7 Club celebrated 36 years of serving and working together with the community on July 4.

In South Africa, poverty is increasing daily. As of October 2023, Statistics SA has reported that 18.2 million individuals in the nation are living in extreme poverty.

However, there is always hope, and as caring, committed, and responsible corporate citizens, the Northridge Ladies 7 Circle has taken hands in a bid to fight poverty, keep children safe, help a community, and improve lives.

“I love every moment of the experience. I love making a difference in the community, so the group is a perfect group to be in,” said the organisation’s treasurer, Sue-Mari Warren.

The organisation has been helping several child orphanages, old age and retirement centres, and disability centres in the community. They managed to host donation drives to help put smiles on the faces of the community.

“Over the past 36 years, a lot of good has been done to the community; the ladies are all friends, driven by mutual love and interest in the community,” she added.

They recently hosted a R5 project in their community to help Just in Time Baby Sanctuary with groceries and to help homeless individuals restore their dignity by using volunteer support to help them feel important and welcomed rather than disregarded and abandoned.

Despite their contributions to the community, the organisation finds it hard to fill every missing space in the community. Northridge Ladies Circle 7 has grown so much and its members are positive that more will join to support the community the best way they can.

The organisation urges individuals to contact them via email at warrensuemari@gmail.com or send a WhatsApp to 061 27 2653 at any time for donations and invites individuals to attend their donation drives.
