Drama club set to dazzle at Roodepoort Theatre with play
A local drama club continues to do wonders by keeping audience entertained.
A local drama club is set to dazzle audiences at the Roodepoort Theatre, leaving their eyes glued to the stage.
Drama Buzz Inc is a drama group that was started by Felicity Brits in 2009 to give her children the opportunity to act on stage. She has been joined each year by families whose children have benefited from the opportunity of being in a stage production and learning from the experience.
In 2012, Drama Buzz moved to showcase its talents in an annual family-friendly production at the Roodepoort Theatre. Drama Buzz Inc has done junior productions of Beauty & The Beast, Peter Pan, Annie, King, Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang, Aladdin, Cinderella and last year Singing in The Rain.
“Each year the moms and children work together side by side to bring this show to completion. The choreography, décor, prop, costume, choir and marketing teams will all agree that it is by God’s Grace and hard work that bring everything together at the end,” Felicity said.
The 15-year-old drama club will host one of the exciting shows in August. Show dates and times are as follows:
• 15 August: 9:00, 11:30, and 19:00
• 16 August: 9:00,11:30, and 19:00
• 17 August: 11:30, 15:00, and 19:00
