Sterlig home raises funds for festive feast

Sterlig Retirement Village’s winter market on July 6 formed part of their Christmas preparations.

The market featured 16 stalls selling handmade crafts, baked goods, and second-hand items. There were also tables for people to sit and enjoy some refreshments.

According to Engela van der Westhuizen, the organiser, residents and staff worked tirelessly to prepare for the market, and they wanted their retirement community to have fun with treats while they raised funds for their Christmas dinner.

The community came out in support, and the event was a wonderful success, raising valuable funds to make this year’s Christmas dinner a special one.
