Appreciation goes a long way

A kind gesture from a resident brightens up the night shift for police officers at Honeydew Police Station.

In a heartwarming display of community appreciation, a resident surprised the police officers at Honeydew Police Station with a delicious food donation.

The generous offer included freshly made burgers, fries and cheese griller rolls, which were collected and presented to the night shift members as a token of gratitude for their hard work.

Michael Steyn, the public relations officer for the Honeydew Community Police Forum (CPF), told the Roodepoort Northsider that the resident’s kind gesture portrays the positive relationships between the community and police.

“It’s a reminder that the work of law enforcement officers is valued and appreciated by those they serve. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of community policing and the impact it has on our officers,” Steyn says.

The police officers expressed their sincere gratitude to the residents for their thoughtfulness, acknowledging that such acts of kindness are deeply appreciated and go a long way.
