Join the Florida Block Watch meeting

The Florida Block Watch has invited residents to attend their monthly meeting on 16 April.

The Florida Block Watch (FBW) has invited residents to attend their monthly meeting to learn more about the activities and initiatives of the FBW, and the difference they make in the community.

The meeting will take place at Hoërskool Florida’s Hotel School, at 64 Louis Botha Drive, at 6.30pm, on 16 April.

“The block watch, like any other community organisation, can only be successful with the support of residents,” says chairperson John Kirsten.

“The work we do within our community is crucial,” continues Kirsten. “Our efforts to secure electricity infrastructure, for instance, has yielded positive results and has helped keep the power on. Our work with the local CPF and law enforcement agencies helps to keep residents in our neighbourhoods safe. We also undertake regular clean-up operations and other community initiatives.

“We invite residents within our area to attend our meeting and become part of the FBW – and bring a neighbour,” he adds.

Pancakes and Quiche will be on sale at the meeting. Tea and coffee will be provided.
