Alter Egos presented a hugely successful Faeries & Fables event at Rusty Hook on March 2.
People came from far and wide to show off their best fantasy costumes, take part in the many activities on offer, and enjoy a day of magical fun.
The entire venue was filled to the brim with magical creatures ranging from witches – both good and evil – fairies of every imaginable sort, pixies, elves, fantastic beasts, and popular characters ranging from Obelix to Professor Snape from Harry Potter fame, Ursula from Little Mermaid, and even a larger-than-life faun that went around entertaining people by playing flutes and a saxophone.
Outfits ranged from cute to downright terrifying. Even four-legged fayre goers were dressed to the nines, sporting everything from faery wings to full armour.
There was no shortage of entertainment with faery parades, best-dressed competitions, snake education shows, sword fighting, axe throwing, archery, and much more.
The accompanying market sold nearly every imaginable magical thing, from wands to potions, crystals, clothing, jewellery, faery wings, faery houses, and even mermaid tails, to name just a few.
There were also delicious food and beverages on sale.
The day was a resounding success and brisk business was conducted at the many stalls, with people stocking up on their magical wares.
