Keep calm and hike on

Mindfulness meditation and hike take place at Kloofendal Nature Reserve.

“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment and live in the breath,” Veronica Bosman from True Vibrant You says.

On February 18, she hosted a Mindfulness Meditation and Hike at the Kloofendal Nature Reserve. The discipline of mindfulness involves being present in the moment.

“We become conscious of our surroundings and how they affect us on an interior level through this meditation. After that, we went on a walk in the nature reserve, which helped us reconnect with nature,” Veronica added.

Those who enjoyed the peaceful, yet energised hike, had the chance to gasp at the morning views on top of the mountains and later enjoyed a relaxing meditation session.

Veronica and her clients like to think hiking is a form of meditation and exercise for their mind, body and soul. These mindfulness meditations and hikes are hosted monthly at different parks or nature reserves around Johannesburg.
