CPF elects new committees

The Honeydew Community Police Forum have announced their newly elected committees.

The different sectors of the Honeydew Community Policing Forum recently announced their newly voted-in committees that will be serving their respective communities for the next five years.

The Community Police Forum (CPF) exists to help promote safety and security in local neighbourhoods by keeping the community informed of crime and crime trends, and to enable better communication and cooperation between communities and police, metro police, and other security structures.

The different sectors of the Honeydew CPF undertake regular patrols of their respective areas, assist police, metro police and emergency services in operations and at incidents such as fires and accidents, and have even been known to keep a watchful eye on City Power and other city personnel when they respond to repair and maintenance issues after hours.

They also act as additional eyes and ears for police within neighbourhoods.

According to Honeydew CPF’s public relations officer Michael Steyn, the CPF is proud to announce its new committees.

“These members will represent the community in the CPF for the next five years, and we know that under their leadership the CPF will thrive.”
