This past weekend, members of Alternatribe hosted a market at Rusty Hook, and showcased how being proud of your weirdness leads to authenticity.
Strange Sundays Alternative Market is hosted on the first Sunday of each month and individuals come out in their best alternative outfits to display their authentic selves and enjoy the good music, goodies, drinks, food and good company.
Residents came out to enjoy the stalls where they sold the likes of handmade goth, punk, metalhead, rocker, cosplay and steampunk art, clothing, jewellery, music, décor, bags, books, fandom and more. Alter-tribers also had the opportunity to listen to their favorite genre of music selections where they had a live broadcast by Live Legion.
“We try to accommodate those who are huge fans of Strange Sundays to be able to express who they are and be their authentic self. This is a place where you can make friends and enjoy the good vibes of residents you can relate to,” said Meryl Rosenberg, the organiser of Strange Sundays Alternative Market.
They also host a market called Craft and Crystals Esoteric Market which will be held on February 11.
