Fantasy comes alive at Rusty Hook Fantasy Faire

Popular local venue Rusty Hook has made a name for itself in recent years as the venue for alternative markets and themed events, such as the Joburg Medieval Faire, Discworld Day, and A Viking Thing.

Their latest event, themed Faeries and Fables, once again presented by South Africa’s premiere alternative entertainment event managers Alter Egos, promises to be an even greater spectacle as the popularity of these events has been growing in leaps and bounds over the past few years.

Faeries and Fables will be held at Rusty Hook on March 2 and will feature a myriad of attractions for young and old. Fairgoers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. You can take part in a legendary quest, try to win Tinkerbell’s treasure, build your own wand, brew potions, take selfies with magical creatures, and stock up on your enchanted regalia at the elaborate faerie market.

In addition to a wide range of weird and wonderful wares, the faerie market will also feature magical delicacies for all your culinary requirements, and even delicious ales and mead. It is also the ideal opportunity to show off your best faerie or fable character outfit.
