Local sanctuary for children needs community’s support

Just In Time Baby Sanctuary needs the community to keep its sanctuary going in the new year.

Just In Time Baby Sanctuary needs the community’s support for the new year.

Georgina Caetano, the sanctuary’s founder, noted that the new year brings the same responsibilities as the previous year, with one big issue for them being the necessity to relocate because their current property is still on the market. She noted it would have to be a big property that is liveable, well-maintained, and safe for them and their children.

She added they are also in need of funding as their children are heading back to school and they will need to pay for school fees and school supplies. Further, they need funding to buy food.

She noted expectant mothers should know their Baby Saver Box is still there offering a safer option for mothers as opposed to leaving a baby in a veld or dustbin or any other place where harm might come to the baby. Mothers can also stay anonymous.

Georgina concluded by saying, “We are very grateful for the support we receive.”

Any person wanting to donate to the sanctuary can contact Georgina on 062 045 8219.
