Crawfordians enjoy a fun night out while supporting a good cause

Ruimsig-based school hosts fun charity quiz!

Crawford International Ruimsig hosted the Annual Parent Connect, Quiz with Linz, providing an exclusive opportunity for parents to mingle, relax, and revel in an evening dedicated solely to them on November 17.

The evening was a testament to the combined efforts of parents, teachers, and staff who poured their hearts into making this night an incredible and unforgettable experience.

“Beyond just a quiz, this event also served a noble cause, eliciting donations from our compassionate parents for our selected charities. The outpouring of support was overwhelming, enabling us to make a significant impact on the lives of many through donations to Fora, Zandspruit Primary School, House of Hope Orphanage, and Zonneveld Old Age Home,” exclaimed Lindsay van Boven from the school.

A heartfelt thank you resonates with every parent whose generosity made a difference.

The night included sponsored prizes, each contributing to the event’s success.

Special acknowledgments to Sharyn Hiten, a dedicated parent volunteer, for orchestrating additional generous prizes, including teeth whitening kits worth R2 200 from Wright Milners, R500 Uncle Joe Florist voucher, and pedicure and massage vouchers from Essence Skin and Beauty in Northcliff.

“Del Forno Featherbrooke catered to our staff, while creative teams brought their own snacks and food, and adorned their tables artistically, adding a delightful charm to the evening, also getting the opportunity to buy from Del Forno and enter a raffle!” she exclaimed.

Adding that the attire was impeccable, with parents not only dressing up themselves but also adorning their tables magnificently. Awards were presented for the best-dressed, the most spirited, and various spot prizes, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

The night buzzed with dance-offs, conga lines, balloon-popping games, and a riveting five-round quiz show!

“Amid the excitement, we had a wonderful comedy performance by our very own college teacher, Felicia Visser, and Shika Harrypaul, our preparatory teacher, graced us with a mesmerizing Indian Dance, adding a touch of elegance to the evening,” added Lindsay.

“A round of applause for Lindsay our incredible Quiz Master, and her stellar team for their exceptional organisation and execution. The quiz was nothing short of delightful and engaging, with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves,” stated the school.
