The annual market at Roodepark School was once again a hit in the community.
“The annual Roodepark craft market was a great success this year, as always. Our school has a long-standing reputation for high standards of vocational development, and the market serves as a showcase for Roodepark as a school that can produce future entrepreneurs,” said Nicole Ruel, from the school.

She noted teachers and learners work together to create products ‘that can serve as an exit plan for our students’.
She continued the market is both profitable and practical and the learners get to learn entrepreneurial skills which prepares them for a future as ‘productive and independent members of the community’.

She added the products offered, involved all the centres at the school, from welding, carpentry, and hospitality to sewing. The profits then go back into these centres.

“We want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the loyal support we’ve received,” she concluded.
