Roodepoort resident urges community to donate to local cat sanctuary

Roodepoort resident sends out a plea for donations on behalf of local kitten rescue.

Nikki Forbes has put out a call for donations for the local cat rescue, Kitty Kazz, after the sanctuary helped her rehome three adult cats and a kitten.

Nikki explained that regardless of the help she has received she would put out a call for donations either way.

“I love to help dogs and cats in need. And I often get urgent calls to home pets. This is the second time Karin Donald [founder of Kitty Kazz] has helped me out this year,” she elaborated.

“This time it’s five kittens and the spaying of a cat. My friend’s brother is homeless and his cat had kittens and he is looking for homes for them. He can barely feed himself let alone the kittens.”

She explained that Kitty Kazz had thankfully stepped in again.

“Karin has his cat booked to be spayed on November 27. A spay is R550 which two generous people have paid for already,” explained Nikki, she mentioned that although one kitten has been homed, the rest and the mother cat are still up for adoption.
