Ogle Foundation calls for school shoe sponsorships to keep a child in school

Ogle Foundations calls on the community, shoe manufacturers, shoe stores, local businesses, and public and private companies to donate school shoes to help keep a child in school.

Having access to proper school shoes is the plight of many learners from underprivileged backgrounds and it is thus Ogle Foundation’s appeal to the community to sponsor school shoes to keep a child in school.

According to Patty Ogle, founder of the foundation, the theme this year is ‘making education fashionable’ and this collection drive will see many underprivileged children benefiting.

“The collection will benefit children from very poor family backgrounds, single families, and child-headed homes. We therefore appeal to shoe manufacturers, shoe stores, local businesses, public and private companies, and individuals to sponsor shoes of any make and size,” she said.

The shoes will be distributed in January 2024 when schools re-open in the new year.
