The Cornerstone Church of Nazarene hosted a spring market day at the church on September 23 in response to helping the community.
Vendors and members of the church had an opportunity to make some well-needed funds by setting up stalls and marketing their services.
The fundraiser was a day for family and friends which saw children enjoying the jumping castles, face painting, and water activities, and the grown-ups basking in each other’s company enjoying good food, and listening to good live music provided by Pieter Lerm.
Some of the stalls that stood out were that of Dunkin’ Dynamo, where patrons had to pay to throw a ball to dunk someone, Nut2Nut, a Pretoria-based nut business, and Colindian (Coloured-Indian) Confectionery and Food, a local business.
“Our people are struggling since the advent of Covid, and we are extending a helping hand. It is also a time for getting together and just enjoying meeting others with a similar passion,” Linkie Dullabh, market co-ordinator for Cornerstone said.
