Local skills development NPO cultivate hair talent

Beneficiaries were excited about the workshop and pulled out all styles to showcase their talent.

Local skills development NPO, Seven Fold Mystery (SFM) launched a new hairdressing workshop in a bid to provide young talent with the necessary skills to thrive in the hair and beauty industry.

Beneficiaries of the programme had the opportunity to showcase their hair styling talent and hail from Roodepoort, Matholesville and Leratong Village borders.

“The plan with the programme was to have our unemployed youth candidates and beneficiaries who happen to have an interest in the hairdressing and beauty industry,” Kopano Ntsele Toguen, founder of SFM said.

The programme was sponsored by Be Beautiful Hair, who sponsored hair extensions and some beauty tools.

Candidates were excited as they got to showcase their skills, and a competition was held, and prizes were up for grabs. The competition was to identify the need for further training and development, which also resulted in enhancing their interest in the beauty industry.
