Rest ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary hosts Carnival Market

Ruimsig-based donkey sanctuary hosts yet another well-attended market in support of their resident asses.

Jumping castles, fluffy teddies, delicious desserts, and an abundance of friendly donkeys filled the grounds of Ruimsig-based Rest ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary recently.

The sanctuary hosted one of their well-known and loved markets on September 30 with a carnival theme. Residents and crafters from across Roodepoort participated in the market day in support of their local donkey sanctuary.

The market catered to young and old, crafters, foodies and animal lovers alike! All the proceeds from the sanctuary’s markets and movie nights go towards the care of the resident donkeys. Attendees were welcome and encouraged to interact and bond with the many donkeys in their care, and could chat to Rest ur Ass’ founders Albert and Lloreen le Roux about the sanctuary and each donkey’s journey before they arrived at the sanctuary.

Jo-anne Bester and Tyler Klink from Jigmazoo.

Each donkey has a name and backstory. To donate towards the care of the donkeys or to learn more about the sanctuary visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ResturAss/.
