100Percent Foundation in partnership with SANBS hosts blood drive

This time around, the blood donation drive saw 100Percent and SANBS reaching its target of collecting 20 units of blood.

The 100Percent Foundation, a local NPO, hosted a blood drive on August 24 in partnership with SANBS at Flora Centre. This was their third blood drive for Affinity Health employees and members of the public.

The foundation prides itself in involvement with various community projects and focuses on skills development within the community, and the blood drive was a project for some of its employees along with those from Affinity Health, while also allowing for community members to donate.

Blood donors received packages after the donation to get their sugar levels up again.

The blood drive was a great success as it had achieved more than the set target which was to collect 20 units of blood.

System administrator, Mr Magale.

Matamela Nemaungani who is the development and project coordinator of the foundation, cited that the blood donation drive succeeded in reaching more than the main target of 20 units and ‘surpassed it by having 36 units at the end of the blood drive’.
