Behavioural scientist offer free personal development services to community

Jaun-Luc Cronje offers free practical solutions to people suffering from grief, addiction and deteriorating mental health.

Jaun-Luc Cronje, who has been a behavioural scientist for five years, offers his services on platforms such as Reddit and Facebook free of charge to the community and has helped countless people through grief, addiction, and mental health issues.

He shared his journey into personal development and human behaviour and said that he had started this project as he suffered a great deal of loss and battled to come to terms with his daughter’s passing which led him to want to do the same for other people.

Cronje said that personal development is all about perspectives and suggested that it works like therapy, however not many people have the means for therapy, hence he tries to create a balance which offers practical solutions first.

“Human behaviour involves making decisions based on our perception of events, such as a car approaching. We decide what to do with it and act upon it. Motor actions are caused by our sensors, and we can perceive something as dangerous or not. For example, a tiger might eat us if it perceives us as threatening, but the tiger may be toning it, making us feel threatened.”

Cronje also covers anxiety, depression, and bipolar issues, addressing baggage and life challenges.

“I aim to provide therapy for individuals with issues in their daily lives offering practical solutions and suggestions for improvement. I encourage them to seek deeper understanding and provide additional support before addressing the issue. I encourage individuals to come to me for further assistance,” Cronje cited.

Younger generations often resort to social media for problem-solving, leading to a ‘hive-mind’ mentality as Cronje put it. This can lead to trolls in communities, who may react negatively to someone’s complaints. To counter this, it’s important to provide practical solutions and balance, as some may feel comfortable with expressing their feelings without resorting to violence.

Some of the positive testimonials are that of a woman grieving her grandmother and husband’s death who reached out to Cronje to help dissolve her grief, leaving her with gratitude and love. He also made mention of a person struggling with pornographic issues and noticed the imperfections in their life as they turn to porn when they were doing something of a low priority.

Cronje also offers consulting services for individuals who feel like they have a big issue they want to resolve and can reach him on his website, www.jaunserves.co.za or via WhatsApp on 079 984 9895.
