Nine-year-old Weltevreden Park resident holds pet food charity drive

Ira has previously collected soup packets for the WelBeing Foodbank.

Ira’s Pet Food Challenge received five bags of pet kibble, 14 sachets of wet food, and 27 cans of pet food so far.
Residents can still donate and Ira Ramadhan also announced that residents can now drop off their donations at Palm Court SUPERSPAR or the Weltevreden Park Public Library.

On Tuesday, June 27 Ira exclaimed that she and her mom fetched some of the donated goods from the SUPERSPAR in Palm Court.

“These donations were made by residents in our community that dropped them off in the donation basket,” said Ira and her mom, Tasha added, “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for their kindness and generosity. We appreciate the support and assistance of the management, especially Frank Davison, at SUPERSPAR for allowing us to make use of their facilities for Ira’s endeavor. They have been very accommodating since the official launch of the Pet Food Challenge.”
