No injuries reported after house fire in Wilro Park

Although no injuries were reported, the house burnt down completely.

On June 15, a structural fire was reported to Emergency Control South Africa (ECSA).

Ian Janse van Rensburg, operations director for ECSA said, “It could not be established where the fire originated from until it is investigated by the City’s fire investigator. We arrived on scene and the house was already fully engulfed.”

He explained parts of the roof were already falling in when their team started to extinguish the fire. City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services arrived with two fire engines and together they were able to extinguish the fire.
Netcare911 and ER24 also arrived on the scene to offer medical assistance.

Janse van Rensburg concluded, “No injuries were reported.”
