IIE MSA helps SPCA keep the stomachs of lonely doggos full

Volunteer student body, IIE MSA Cares, held animal food drive at their Ruimsig campus.

The animal lovers of IIE MSA delivered barrels of assistance to their favourite SPCA.

Chairperson of IIE MSA Cares and third-year Mechanical Engineering student, Dylan Jacobs, surprised the hardworking staff of the Randburg SPCA, on March 14. The Ruimsig-based student brought wheelbarrows full of dog food for the Northumberland Avenue shelter which was graciously accepted by Kennel Manager Cynthia Bezuidenhout.

The donation was part of the IIE MSA Cares animal food drive on campus where students and staff donated food and money towards the initiative. The SPCA is one of the oldest and largest animal welfare organisations in the country and is a registered Non-Profit Organisation that is not government funded. They solely rely on donations from the community for their animals, charity, and bookshop, with animal food being their biggest challenge.
