Tulip celebrate Valentine’s Day

The hall where the Valentine's bash took place was decked with an array of brightly coloured balloons and paper cut-out hearts.

Tulip Combined School hosted a Valentine’s Day bash on Tuesday, February 14 for their primary school which started at 8:30 followed by the high school event that started at 10:30.

The day lived up to its expectations as learners came dressed accordingly in swanky pink, red, and white attire and glittering faces were the order of the day.

There was an air of excitement with the arrival of learners for the much-needed fun, learners danced to eclectic music of diverse languages and genres which is a testament to the inclusive ethos of the school: unity in diversity.

The “Red and White” themed event was open to all learners and performances for the day included dancing by the school’s talented learners.

To conclude the high school event, the school announced the 2023 Mr and Ms Valentine winners, the candidates selected were Hlelelwa Mdunge and Tsatsawani Mabasa.

According to the organisers, overall, the Valentine’s Day bash was a roaring success and learners had tremendous fun.
