Max believes in setting goals and following through with them

Max expresses his gratitude to the Lord and gives Him all the glory.

Eighteen-year-old Max Naude graduated from Trinityhouse Little Falls with eight distinctions on January 18. While most learners were nervously awaiting their results, Max kept cool knowing he set out goals for himself and feeling confident that he had reached them.

Max’s philosophy for school has been to ensure that you have a balance between school and sport, an holistic approach, which is evident by the national colours he received in swimming. Max has set his sights on a Computer Engineering degree at the University of Pretoria (Tukkies), where he’ll also pursue a university swimming career.

“I have been provisionally accepted at Tukkies,” Max elaborated, “When I started high school I dreamt of becoming an Aeronautical Engineer for The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), but that changed later on in my high school career.”

He also believes that, if you didn’t get the results you anticipated then it isn’t the end of the world.

“My advice to future matrics is to put in as much effort as you can and take it step by step,” Max said, reflecting on his own matric year.

Max also indicated that without his wonderful family and friends, he wouldn’t be where he is. He expresses his gratitude to the Lord and gives Him all the glory.
