JMPD confirm heavy motor vehicle accident on Ontdekkers Road

A light motor vehicle had collided with a tanker truck .

On Monday, January 2 Emergency Control SA responded to reports of a heavy motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Ontdekkers Road and William Nichol Road in Floracliffe.

On arrival it was discovered that a light motor vehicle had collided with a tanker truck and three patients had sustained moderate injuries on scene.

The Emergency Control SA team conducted scene management and other resources from Life EMS, ER24 EMS and City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) were on scene to assess and treat the injured patients.

City Of Johannesburg Fire Department also arrived on scene to assist and all three patients were later transported to suitable medical facilities for further care.

Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) arrived on scene to investigate the incident.

“I can confirm that JMPD attended the accident, but I haven’t received feedback, I’ll check with the unit responsible and provide more information on the accident,” said JMPD spokesperson, Xolani Fihla.
