Residents fuming over load-shedding and epileptic power supply

One irritated resident noted they were out of power for long hours and that the problem has been and ongoing nightmare.

Load-shedding is nothing new in Roodepoort, and neither is the complaint about the epileptic power supply that is causing complaints to erupt sporadically throughout communities.

Residents of Horison View, Roodepoort North, Georginia, Horison, and other areas within ward 84 have many questions regarding their area’s power supply.

On Friday, January 6, in their quest for answers, visibly angry residents stormed social media platforms asking questions and later made their way to the City Power Roodepoort Service Delivery Centre.

Another pointed out that the power situation in the area is unacceptable as they have been out of power for 18 hours straight.

And yet another told the Record that since Horison View has been without power for, electricity should be restored immediately without another incident of load-shedding.

While demanding answers from the power utility, the ward 84 residents regretted that power has still not been restored even with the complaints about the situation, they denounced those responsible for the situation as incompetent.
