Roodepoort police bid farewell to members

The station’s Communication Officer Captain Juanita-Anne Yorke said that a lot happens behind the scenes to make a police station fully functional.

Roodepoort Police Station recently said goodbye to newly promoted members as they left for their new police stations in the midst of routine work and station cleanup operations.

Roodepoort police officers also conducted a station clean-up operation in between making arrests and going about their daily duties.

The station’s Communication Officer Captain Juanita Yorke said that a lot happens behind the scenes to make a police station fully functional and the members from Supply Chain Management and Support Services do just that.

“Cleanliness is close to Godliness and a clean station helps to attain just this, I would also like to thank the management and all the members that I have been blessed to work with,” said the newly promoted Lieutenant Colonel Elias Mofokeng.

Mofokeng together with members of the Roodepoort police stations cleaned up the station and surrounding areas, and the grass inside and outside the station was cut. The members were seen in high spirits all around the station.

Mofokeng started his new post at Kagiso Police Station in November together with newly promoted Captain Busang Eugene Molapisi.

Molapisi thanked the station management and all the personnel that he worked with for everything that he had learnt.

“I will always be available to this great team if anyone needs me and I cherish the moments we had,” said Molapisi.

He was with the Roodepoort Police Station for four years in human resources management dealing with absenteeism management.

Roodepoort Police Station Commander Brigadier Irene Sekwakwa wished them well on their new journey.

“As you go on your new journey, may God bless and protect you and remember to always observe protocols and keep Roodepoort Police’s name held high. It has been an honour to work with you, I hope to see you back at Roodepoort soon,” said Sekwakwa.
