Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel announce 2023 head prefects
Simphiwe Sakale and Liam Buthane announced as head girl and head boy
Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel have announced the learners who will serve their peer in 2023.
At a crowning ceremony on November 1, the school’s executive granted the honours to the 2023 Heads of School. Jaden Ganesh will serve as deputy head boy while Modiehi Mohapi assist as deputy head girl. The most senior positions will go to head girl Simphiwe Sakale and head boy Liam Buthane.
Head of High School, Belinda Gibson had a short message for the learners, saying, “Taking office of prefectship is an honour for every learner and holding a leadership position within that group speaks highly of the superb characteristics inherent in each of these young leaders. Their inner ‘CurrageCall’, a value we promote within our school speaks of integrity, commitment and accountability. With specific significance, this is the personal road that these four leaders have walked. They have faced personal mountains of various degrees of difficulty and yet have risen above them, stronger. Mrs Morgan, our Executive Head of School and I, as well as the Curro Wilgeheuwel High School team are incredibly proud of them”.
