He’s always doing new things with his father Willem Nel”.

The club will be hosting their yearly tournament on October 29 at Key West Shopping Centre in Krugersdorp.

“Prospective new members that would like to join the club should remember that boxing is highly addictive and you may become a champion. If you are looking for a healthy way of living you should join a boxing club, boxers are some of the most respected sportsmen in the country. People look up to them and want to be like them. If you are prepared to work hard then come and take your place at the champions table,” said Phillip.

Vikings Boxing Academy is an amateur club that has existed since the late 1950s and has produced many champions over the years.

South African professional boxer Hector “Hekkie” Budler started his amateur career at the club as well as the great Johnny Muller to name just a few.
