HRA expands its boundaries

The Honeydew Residents Association has voted to expand their area of operations to include previously unrepresented areas.

The Honeydew Residents Association (HRA) held a special meeting on March 8, to discuss the proposed broadening of its area of operations.

At the meeting, it was decided to extend their area to include several streets that were, up to now, not represented by a residents association.

According to HRA deputy chairperson, Minda Kruger, the suggestion to expand their area came about due to escalating problems within the area.

“Cable theft is one of the problems faced by these communities, and the residents here have no one to help. We suggested the request of community members who reside in this area who saw the good work we do within our community.

“The suggestion was tabled at the meeting and it was decided to expand our area and welcome these previously unrepresented communities into the fold.”

The new areas under the HRA include:

• Eagle Canyon
• Taylor Road
• Lawrence Street
• During Road
• Penchartz Road, Harveston
• Saayman Road, Harveston
• Die Ou Pad
• Piet Retief Road, Harveston
• Paul Kruger Road from Taylor Road to Amplifier Street
