E-hailing driver goes missing

Concern grows as a missing e-hailing cab driver's car was found abandoned with bullet holes at an impound in Roodepoort.

A search operation is underway for an e-hailing cab driver who has been reported missing for several days. The driver’s disappearance took a troubling turn on October 9 when his car was found at an impound in Roodepoort, bearing alarming signs of violence.

Melithemba Chris Mnguni, the surveyor general of the E-hailing Partners Council (EPCO), stated that the driver’s residence caretaker alerted the tracker company, which ultimately led to the car being found at an impound lot in Roodepoort, where it had been taken after being abandoned.

The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the driver’s disappearance and the condition of the car. They urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We are deeply concerned about the well-being of our missing driver. We are co-operating fully with the authorities and appealing to the public for any information that may lead to his safe return,” Mnguni said.

Anyone with information regarding the missing driver or the events surrounding his disappearance is urged to contact the police or the e-hailing company’s dedicated support line on 087 123 4567.
