Woman fatally shot on Metrobus in Fleurhof

Police are currently conducting a massive manhunt into the tragic fatal shooting of a woman on a Metrobus in Fleurhof in the early hours of Wednesday, June 26.

According to a statement by Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) spokesperson Xolani Fihla, the incident happened at around 05:55 when the JMPD tactical response unit received a call regarding this shooting on Helpmekaar Road.

“Upon arrival, the officers found a deceased female. It is alleged that an unknown male shot the woman. The shooter allegedly fled the scene in a white Volkswagen Polo sedan without license plates,” reads the statement.

Fihla confirmed that relevant district and investigative officers are currently working on this matter.
