Helderkruin resident in hospital following alleged targeted shooting
A targeted attack in the early hours of November 24 left the victim in hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
What is suspected to be a targeted attack on a Helderkuin resident on the morning of November 24 has been foiled by local authorities.
Comanche Street was riddled with bullet cartridges in what is suspected to be an attempted murder which happened around 05:00 this morning.
According to Lieutenant Colonel De Freitas from Roodepoort police, the victim has been moved to hospital as he sustained serious injuries.
“We believe he was on his way to work, however, the police are still combing through the scene for clues,” he said.
Details surrounding the motive of the attack are still unknown at this stage, but further information will be communicated once available.
