Attempted robbery ends in shootout
Details about the circumstances of the attempted robbery are still unclear at this stage, however, a comprehensive update will follow.
An attempted furniture store robbery was cut short when a shootout occurred between security personnel and gunmen at Hillfox Value Centre early this morning, November 8.
According to Lionel Gafney from BCI Security, the shootout occurred at 03:00 when gunmen allegedly tried to rob Tafelberg Furnishers.
The gunmen soon fled the scene in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
According to Michael Steyn from Honeydew CPF, no injuries were reported.
