R100 000 reward offered to find murderer

Due to the severity of the crime and the commitment of the family the Honeydew Police have offered a R100 000 reward for information that will result in the arrest and conviction of the murderers.

A Honeydew family requested the Honeydew police to offer a reward for information regarding Simon Kekana’s murder.

His murder case number CAS 432/04/2022 was registered at the Honeydew Police Station on Wednesday, April 13.

The R100 000 reward the police are offering is for information that will result in the arrest and conviction of Kekana’s murderers due to the severity of the crime and the commitment of the family.

While married couple Naomi and Simon Kekana were towing a Toyota Avanza that had broken down in front of their Cosmo City home at 133 Akansa Crescent, two men armed with firearms approached them. They ordered them to remain quiet before shooting Simon, who was in the Toyota Avanza. He was rushed to Leratong Hospital, where he subsequently died.
