The King’s School Vineyard lies on the outskirts of the Cradle of Humankind, just 3.5 km’s from Cradlestone Mall. It is a small Christian primary school, established in 2006 out of Little King’s Nursery School which was founded in 1990. At The King’s School Vineyard, you will find that it is more than a school. You will find family and an environment where children can be themselves. The school’s motto is God created me with a purpose and their team of qualified and dedicated staff work hard to help each child find their unique purpose in life. What a breath of fresh air in an education system that wants all children to fit the cookie-cutter mould of what society believes success is!

Not only are the staff dedicated to help each child find their own purpose, but they also desire each child to have their own revelation of who God is and to develop them through nurturing relationships and by setting a solid example.

The children participate in the IEB benchmark tests to assist the school in tracking their academic standard, and since 2012, numerous Grade 7 learners have left the school to go into high schools across the country, where they continue to thrive. As part of the academic curriculum, children are encouraged to gain IT skills in the computer lab, and reading with understanding forms a big part of the academic growth of learners. The King’s School Vineyard also offers athletics, soccer and netball and has a large field and netball court for the children to enjoy these activities. Children can participate in cultural extra-murals like chess and drama, and the school has a biennial concert.

The school has been part of the King’s Education group since 2017, and continues to grow from strength to strength. They recently celebrated the inauguration of their beautiful new buildings, comprising of classrooms, a large hall with kitchen facilities and new bathrooms. Future plans include growing from the current one class per grade, to two classes per grade, and growing the Early Childhood Development centre as the school currently only takes learners from Grade R. The school has a track record of growing learners into successful, confident, and creative members of the community through holistic development and it’s well worth considering as a school for your primary school aged child.
