The new building will house a brand new 32-bed general adult ward, with en-suite private and semi-private rooms as well as a modern kitchen and updated back-of-house services.
Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital recently embarked on a renovation and expansion project to ensure we continue making life better for our patients. The new building will house a brand new 32-bed general adult ward, with en-suite private and semi-private rooms as well as a modern kitchen and updated back-of-house services.
The second floor of the new building will feature a brand new, modern 20-station renal dialysis unit with a capacity of dializing 120 patients three times a week.
“Life Wilgeheuwel Hospital remains committed to the continuous improvement and expansion of services for patients with kidney disease in the West Rand and welcomes visitors for holiday dialysis, allowing them the freedom to travel or visit family. Our new Renal Dialysis Unit provides significantly greater space and comfort for dialysis patients.” Says Adri Botes, Hospital Manager.
Next to the new Renal Dialysis Unit we have created six additional doctor consulting suites. The following specialists will move into the new consulting block.

An additional laminar flow theatre has been added to the current theatre complex that will allow more theatre time.
