The Northside’s famous and friendly group of lovable asses at Rest Ur Ass Donkey Sanctuary just got an additional 14 residents. These furry friends came from less-than-ideal circumstances.
A dozen of the new residents arrived at the sanctuary on March 23, and two more arrived on Wednesday, March 29. The very next day Olympus 24-hour Animal Hospital came out to the sanctuary to give the donkeys a health check as well as geld the seven new jacks Pro Bono.
The dozen came from Phalaborwa and the last two, Roman and Spirit, came from a plot in Kliprivier.
Lloreen le Roux chuckled as she added that the latter is very vocal donkeys and it seems like they’ve all adjusted well to their new home. To meet the RUA donkeys visit the sanctuary during one of their market days, movie nights, or other events.
