From a tranquil farmhouse to the bustling hub of education, the Charterhouse Preparatory story has many chapters yet to unfold.
The Erasmus Road school celebrates its 25th birthday this year and to mark the occasion, the pre-primary and preparatory schools gathered on the balconies to sing happy birthday, on January 25.

The doors of the school proudly swung open in January 1998 and has had an incredible journey from the start. With their motto of ‘Prosperare’, Charterhouse has been the platform provided for all our children to find their individual successes be it on the field, on the stage, or in the classroom, they are encouraged to find the best in themselves.
Charterhouse started with 59 children, two classes of Grade 1s and a combined Grade 2 and 3 class 2023 sees them start the year with a fabulous 769 children from Grade 0000 to Grade 7.
“We are looking forward to a year of 25th birthday celebrations and we have many fun events planned to mark this special occasion,” said acting Principal, Lynn Davis.
