Wear flip-flops for a great cause!

CHOC's one goal, with passionate, caring, and dedicated staff and volunteers, is simple: to save lives through early detection, and to enable us all to stand strong and stand together in support of these fearless little warriors.

Wear your flip-flops with PNA to support the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation on February 17.

Did you know that every single one of us is affected by childhood cancer in some way? In some cases, it may not directly affect you – it could be someone close to you – but it could be a beloved family member or the child of a close friend or colleague. Every day, we all hear about or know of one brave little child or teenager fighting cancer.

But they are never alone; these brave soldiers will always have the love, support, and strength of those around them, even if it is through a donation from a stranger they will never meet.

“CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa is an important advocate against this life-threatening illness, offering psychosocial, emotional, and patient-facing support to families and their children and teenagers diagnosed with cancer,” says PNA Marketing and PR Manager Chantelle Fritz.
“Being a part of this initiative makes us proud because we understand the difficulties that these young people and their families face”.

“We were delighted to hand over R1 000 000 to the CHOC Foundation last year, and this year we will challenge schools and corporates to assist us in this goal,” Fritz adds.

“We thank our loyal customers for always supporting our CSI initiatives”.

You can get your sticker for only R10 by visiting your nearest PNA or by visiting www.choc.org.za. As the needs of these children, teenagers, and their families grow, so does our desire to improve medical treatment, so in 2023, we hope to surpass the R1 million we raised last year – and, with your help, beat the disease.

“We know our valued customers and South Africans as a whole can reach and exceed this target – even in flip flops!” says Fritz.

“We’d love to see you in one of our stores where you can ‘wear yours for a cause’. We’re joining CHOC in reaching out to corporate companies, small businesses, ladies, gentlemen, pre-schools, and primary and high schools – let’s do this together – and walk the path of love and support to help these amazing kids see a brighter future!”
