Florida Police Station Commander declares a safer festive season

"Tsotetsi confirmed that he will be leading the police under the theme "All Boots on the ground sivala konke."

Florida Police Station Commander Colonel Amos Tsotetsi sent a short message to the residents, wishing them a happy festive season.

He said that on behalf of all the station members, he would like to firstly thank the community of Florida for contributing to the Partnership in Policing and their community involvement initiative.

“The management of Florida SAPS is committed to continue with the Monday-to-Monday Operations.

“For the festive season I am kindly asking and begging the community to please assist the police by reporting corruption,” said Tsotetsi.

He urged the community to work with the police to reduce contact crimes, property related crimes and trio crimes.

“Drugs and alcohol abuse are root causes and socio factors of crime and we are going to fight crime with the community involvement.

“We are going to be on the streets as Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Law Enforcement.

“Five pillars of crime will be utilised to curb the crime and during this festive season – the people of Florida will be safe,” said Tsotetsi.

Tsotetsi confirmed that he will be leading the police under the theme “All Boots on the ground sivala konke”.

“Thanks to the reservists, CPF, patrollers, councillors, MEC Safety and private security, JMPD, GAUTRAFFIC, PRASA, AIRWING, DRONE, MEDIA, EMS, COJ, POPS, neighbourhood watches and everyone in Florida for working as a team; without you the Florida SAPS is nothing.

“I declare a safer festive season by working together from the beginning of October to end of January, none stop no rest for the boots on the ground with the Station Commander of Florida SAPS Colonel Tsotetsi, local is lekker,” said Tsotetsi.
